1 of 5 – Hip & Leg Support Tests
Assess how well your hips, legs, and core coordinate to support your spine during squatting movements.
Squatting is an important movement used during lifting, sitting, and many everyday activities.
Squat Self-Test Technique
- Stand with your feet hip-distance apart, with your toes pointing forward (not turned in or out).
- Make sure you are in your standing directional preference start position.
- Begin the test by slowly lowering down into a squat, like you are sitting into a chair.
- Make sure your knees are over your toes and that your back is still in your standing directional preference position.
- Hold the squat as you check to feel which muscles are activating/working the hardest.
