Seated Reach Self-Test
Assess how well your muscles coordinate to support your spine and posture while reaching in sitting.
Reaching while sitting is an important part of many everyday activities. When the body is not well supported, people may compensate with unnecessary tension or changes in posture during movement.
Seated Reach Self-Test Technique
- Sit on a stable surface and make sure you’re in your Directional Preference starting position for sitting.
- Maintain this position as you reach forward, as if reaching for a computer keyboard or something in front of you.
- Hold with your arms reaching forward to see which muscles you feel working the hardest.
